There are few more engaging experiences in nature than witnessing the spectacular surface behaviours of majestic Humpback Whales.
Whale activity in Cairns peaks between mid July and the end of August and forms part of an annual 10,000km migration from the freezing, food-rich waters of Antarctica to the warm breeding grounds of Australia’s east coast.

Lead by our qualified and passionate Marine Biologists, this informative half or full day tour provides captivating insights into whale anatomy, communication, diet, migratory patterns and population status.

On Fitzroy Island, you’ll have hours to explore its many stunning natural offerings, taking part in a range of activities on both land and water including snorkelling, glass bottom boat tours, kayaking, island adventures and much more.
